Interim Storage Partners, Andrews County
Interim Storage Partners, Andrews County is a dry storage facility operated by Interim Storage Partners in United States. It has a capacity of 5,000 tHM as of 2021.
Licensed by the NRC in 2021 to hold 5,000 tonnes of commercial used fuel in west Texas for forty years. Texas then passed a law prohibiting it, a court annulled the licence, and in June 2025 the Supreme Court ruled the challengers lacked standing, restoring the NRC's authority. The licence stands and the facility does not exist. It is the closest the United States has come to a consolidated store for the largest spent fuel inventory in the world.
