CGN's improved CPR-1000, with a double containment, a core catcher and enough of the intellectual property held in China to be exported without French consent, which the CPR-1000 was not. Built at Hongyanhe and Yangjiang. Its safety features were folded into Hualong One when Beijing merged the CGN and CNNC designs.
