Long Beach is a nuclear-powered cruiser operated by United States Navy, powered by 2 Westinghouse C1W. Retired.
The only nuclear-powered surface combatant the United States built other than a carrier, commissioned the same year as Enterprise. The Navy never repeated the design: nuclear propulsion turned out to make economic sense for carriers, whose air wings need the power and endurance, and not for cruisers, whose weapons do not.
