Egypt has no operating nuclear power reactors. 4 units appear in the record: 4 under construction.
Egypt is building its first nuclear plant at El Dabaa, with Russia's Rosatom, under a November 2015 intergovernmental agreement. A Russian state loan covers most of the cost, and the project director expects all four 1,100 MWe units to be operating by 2030. Policy position as read on 2026-11-03: World Nuclear Association, Nuclear Power in Egypt (page dated 2026-09-04).
